Krista Pennell Crickard
Event Coordinator

Like so many other individuals, Krista came into the Salon and Spa industry purely by chance. Having worked in the Insurance business for ten years and having a young baby at home, Krista was ready to explore other avenues and opportunities. After working part-time for another large salon and spa, Krista was offered a full-time management/mentoring role and quickly took the offer. She continued working for another year and was presented with another opportunity: this time with Edges.

At Edges, Krista continues to provide leadership and support to the staff and many loyal guests, but is also responsible for co-ordinating special events, functions and fundraising. Within just three months of being with Edges, with the support of Mike and Lina, Krista initiated and successfully held an evening of pampering and fun for 13 teens from Avenue 15, a division of the Boys and Girls Club of Calgary. Always one to lend a hand and step in where needed, Krista's patience and "let's make this work" attitude is a refreshing one for those that come in contact with her.

You may be suprised to know that Krista was heavily involved in the professional music industy in her native Newfoundland a number of years ago, prior to moving to Alberta. Those that know her well often hear her singing in the early hours of the day and can be coaxed into singing along with her!
