Krista O'Connor
Director of Operations

With a flair for fashion, sensibility and style, Krista decided to pursue a career in the beauty industry as a stylist/colorist after graduating high school. Upon completing her education at Delmar College in Calgary, Krista has worked with some of the best and brightest stylists in the business. Like so few in this field, Krista has been widely recognized for her work in the beauty industry. Among the many awards in her name, Krista received second place in the prestigious Nation Wide Fantasy Competition: a competition for stylists that are judged not only for their creativity in hairstyle, but also in color work and make-up as well. In addition, Krista has, in the past, been invited to collaborate with the Sun Glitz team in the design and execution of set design and fashion show for the ABA, another prestigious hair and beauty show.

After twelve years in the demanding role of stylist and beauty advisor, Krista decided to take some time off not only for retraining, but to also test her passion for the beauty industry. After only two short years of being away, Krista was drawn back upon meeting Mike and Lina and realized where her true talents lie: managing, mentoring and making a growing business a huge success. Having moved out from behind the chair in her past five years with Edges Salon and Spa, Krista now holds the title of Director of Operations and is responsible for all daily activities and functions that keep such a dynamic business expanding.

Those that are fortunate enough to know and work with Krista, understand how passionate she is about her career and also how focused she is with her work. She is not only creative but she is also driven by a spirit that moves her team and makes her staff work as a cohesive unit. Krista constantly is a friendly face in the Salon and Spa and is well known by Edges loyal guests and friends. She is always ready with a warm hello and is more often than not on the floor instead of in her office, cleaning, filling shelves, and mingling and motivating guests and staff.
