Meet Our Staff!

Lina Chammoury
Co-owner / Director of Marketing/Operations

Upon meeting her husband, Mike, in 1989, Lina Chammoury was swept away into the glitz and glamour of the beauty industry. Lina promptly began expanding their already growing business working as a fully trained esthetician. Shortly thereafter, Lina realized that her passion within the industry lay not with performing esthetics, but with the logistics, financial and management aspect of the business.

In 2003, after many years of long hours, hard work and determination, Lina and Mike opened a new location, Edges Salon and Spa. In 2003, Edges was voted one of the top four Spas in Canada, after only three months past the Grand Opening. In addition to their many accomplishments, accolades and awards, Edges Salon and Spa has been voted one of the top 200 fastest growing Salons in America for 2007. On top of that, Edges Salon and Spa has been nominated by the Global Salon Awards as Salon Entrepreneur of the Year. This award recognizes Edges for its passion for the industry and the commitment to grow not only their own business but also for the staff to attain newer and higher levels of success.

In her role as Director of Marketing and Operations, Lina has become a master of advertising and promotions, often single-handedly preparing the promotional and advertising material for both the Salon and Spa. She has also mastered the arduous task of being an IT trouble-shooter and recently been selected to be a member of the Advisory Board of Milano Systems: the ultimate in Salon and Spa software based out of Toronto.

Those that know Lina understand how passionate she is not only about her business, but also her family at home and at the Salon and Spa. She manages to successfully juggle a growing business and family of three beautiful children while also making time for her loyal guests and her staff. She maintains an open door policy that is built on trust and honesty whereby a constant rule is be truthful to yourself and to others. By sharing her expertise with her own Salon and Spa, as well as others that may be struggling or just starting out, Lina hopes she can make a continous difference for Salon owners and professionals in the same regard that other professionals have made for her and Mike. As Lina says, "We need to share with people how powerful the beauty industry can be."
